Raising the Barre is an evening to celebrate the accomplishments of our talented students. The program combines the beauty of classical ballets with the creativity of modern and contemporary original works. Professional guest artists and guest choreographers are invited to join our students to produce an evening of exciting and inspiring performances.
Pictures and videos of the performances can be found in the Gallery section of our website.

Our first performance included an original solo contemporary piece by award winning guest choreographer Servy Gallardo (Artistic Director, Peoria Ballet). The evening also had our advance students performing the classic ballet Paquita alongside guest artists Diana Gomez and Andres Figueroa (Soloists, Tulsa Ballet).

Guest choreographer Servy Gallardo (Artistic Director, Peoria Ballet) returned to create an original contemporary group piece set on our advance students. Our advance students also performed an excerpt from the beloved ballet Swan Lake and beautifully performed the classic ballet Les Sylphides.

In May, our advanced students performed the classic La Bayadere. This was the first year our intermediate students were also showcased during the evening.
Guest choreographer Laura Fiatte set an original modern piece on both our intermediate and advance students to complete the performance.

Along with guest artists Diana Gomez and Andres Figueroa (Soloists, Tulsa Ballet), our intermediate and advance students performed the classic Paquita. An original modern piece by guest choreographer Laura Fiatte featured both our intermediate and advance students. The program also featured guest student choreographer and KSCB alumni Durante Verzola, who created an original contemporary piece for our advance students.
